L’ancien président béninois Patrice Talon a été élu, ce jeudi 6 août 2026, président du Sénat, nouvelle chambre haute du Parlement créée à la suite de la révision constitutionnelle. Deux mois après avoir quitté le pouvoir, il retrouve ainsi une fonction institutionnelle de premier plan au sein de l’État.
